POWELL RIVER VISIT

The Strait of Georgia was calm and very beautiful, though not very warm it lent itself to an enjoyable crossing.  Being on the water and not on the White Shell felt strange.  That far a way look in the My Captains eyes told me he misses her a lot!

We were happy to see Ryan and Sophie and the kids met us at the ferry landing. Off we went for a very nice lunch at the new Vietnamese Restaurant.  The kids were great and we so enjoyed the excellent dishes  chosen for us.  Angus and I snuck out to the antique shop next door and checked out all the cool old Mickey Mouse trinkets.  Crista works right next door at the Scotia Bank so she met her dad and they went off to business appointments.

After a quick stop at the grocery store Ryan and his little family and I  continued out to the "farm".  Spring is so refreshing showing off all the new green life and multiple early blossoms that the walk around the property  reminded me of why it is my favourite season.  One of the new additions to the family, Jake a huge--massive and beautiful horse stole my heart! Be sure to check ouhe new album we uploaded. The little colt Bell  Summer Bell is also smitten by him and Tom still so vibrant and eager to turn the barn yard into a frenzy.  Genny the donkey now has a sister, Judy and the two Bermese are still a very big presence! Both so happy to great you!  I so enjoyed holding Stella and playing with Angus.  Finally my  many thoughts of doing just that were becoming real.

Though we stayed at Cristas' the week was filled with time spent with both families: Crista and Doug and the boys and Ryan and Sophie and the two little ones.  Hope you enjoy the pictures and can tell that we had a super time eating, laughing playing cards with Jake, watching baseball with Bradon and Matt making us proud.  It was great to spend some time with Bordy as well.  It staggers the mind in a way; the older boys are growing so quickly and all  fine young men.  Angus kept us running and little Miss Stella stole her grandpas' heart.

We spent Friday on Savery enjoying the beach as we walked and soaked up the beauty of different colors and textures of shells.  Certainly not as warm or brillient as Isla San Jose but certainly wonderful non the less.  It is called Beautiful British Columbia for good reason!

Saturday was birthday time for Angus! After watching Jake at baseball and checking out the farmers market we headed out to party!!!! He's three now and learning quickly how to count to that big number in Spanish.  What a guy.........love you Angus! Again check out the pictures to see us playing and just being big kids!!!  HAHAHHA!

The food was plentiful and oh so tasty -- thanks you guys. This week we will have to get back on our simple diet and work it off! We even managed to watch the Canuks wipe the ice with the Chicago Black Hawks  and  returnedto Comox this morning to catch up with our faith family.  We are already   making plans to return to the cabin to do some spring maintenance. The month of May will surely go quickly.

Lets talk again soon.   Lue
