AWAY COMOX HARBOUR After many month of preparation and many years of dreaming “The Captain” and I, our small feline crew of Joey and Katie left the Comox Harbor at high noon on August 19th, 2009 aboard our vessel The White Shell II! The previous weeks had been filled with emotion as we bade our many dear friends and family farewell. The glorious day had finally come. Our hearts were sadden yet pounding with anticipation; we shoved off. As we left the fuel dock we heard and saw Jen and Dan of the . on the dock hailing us on with flares and noise makers a very memorable send off! Thanks guys. As we motored out of the marina I turned back every few minutes to get one last glimpse of our lives in the beautiful Comox Valley………………now we were really off on our adventure. It was really happening! Initially we were not provided with much wind so we motored…… past The Spit where many years ago Claes was a young sea cadet…...
