Heading for San Fran

September 2, 2009 05:45 up early to make coffee and offer a small breakie for the guys. All is going well as I am making the second batch of coffee for the thermos and oopps. A lurch and the whole darn thing goes flying on my galley floor. I am so fortunate to not have gotten burnt. But what a mess. Go figure…………I don’t even like coffee anymore?????? The day does improve……….my 9-12 watch is great as I anticipate what San Francisco will look like from the water. We are a little over 60 miles away………….I am getting rather excited.
My pal Jan has provided tons of broadcast on my I Pod and so I sip my tea and listen……….something about loving people like your neighbor???? No matter who they are or what they are? This fellow calls it the Jesus Creed. Love your neighbor as yourself and you would be amazed at what and could happen in your life.

It is now 13:00 hours and I am attempting to finish this up for you all so that when we arrive at Half Moon Bay which is just a skip past San Fran……………I can email this off to you. We won’t be going into the main bay of SF. Neither one of us feels led to go under the bridge. It is pretty wild in there with currents and lots of traffic. Doug will be leaving us tomorrow and we will spend the day sleeping, cleaning and just relaxing.
The most tedious part of the journey will soon be coming to an end. It has certainly been an experience……not one I will do again but glad I did. Now we can say we sailed the Pacific Northwest Coast of USA. We will share more details with you some day I am sure but suffice it say for the moment that we are very thankful that God was watching over us……………His blessings rolled over us with each wave that was under us! (I think someone wrote a song about that hey Brad??)

Love you all! Am so thankful for all your prayers and we know that we could have not managed this without all of your support. Talk to you really soon. Please get Skype on your computers so that we can call in the next week or so. We are missing you all like crazy!

This is the crew of The White Shell II signing out for now!
