PREAMBLE TO THE RECIPE SECTION
Over the years many friends and family have been part of my ever increasing love to cook, sometimes treating my taste buds to delectable heights. Many including my dear mom, five sisters and two sisters-in-law as well as two daughters and a daughter in law and a son and two sons in law are incredibly talented in the culinary field. Yes, even a few of my grandson are known to enjoy time in the kitchen—right Bradon and Cole? Even saw pictures at Christmas time of Angus in training. The Captain is a great cook as well and he has re leaved me in the kitchen many times. He has always been one who was willing, (smart fella) to eat anything I attempted to make so the door to new ideas was always there.
You can see that that alone has encouraged me to cook. Admittedly, I do enjoy food, not just eating it but the entire process of it. The preparation of it has always been a challenge as I do like things that are always changing so to follow a set recipe can be rather daunting and sometimes even boring!!
Out here on the sea and on board The White Shell II, life is certainly not boring and the fact that one does not always have the "usual" ingredients, necessity is defintiely the mother of invention. Creativity spills over into some amazing dishes.
Please as you review our food ideas keeping in mind the following:
I do trust and hope that you enjoy my/our endeavours to demonstrate how and what we are eating. Pictures will be included when available and all rights to this site is solely that of the author.
BON APPETITE!Thanks, and enjoy!

Please as you review our food ideas keeping in mind the following:
- the amenities and kitchen supplies are not as they are in the normal kitchen in Canada because of space, energy and costs.
- food inventory is perhaps different, not available or in fact not necessary.
- the life style is different in that "things" do not need to be perfect nor are they expected to be.
- treats are indeed special as they are not available every day.
I do trust and hope that you enjoy my/our endeavours to demonstrate how and what we are eating. Pictures will be included when available and all rights to this site is solely that of the author.
