APRIL AIN’T NO FOOL!

A new month and a new reason to be joyful! Yes, Easter the commemorative time in the Christian world that validates the entire theology of our faith: Good Friday and all it's passion, Holy Saturday filled with disappointment and hopelessness, then Resurrection Sunday, brilliant with the Glory and Promise fulfilled. He has risen.........He has risen in deed!  Halleluiah!!!!!!

We  anchored in Ensenda Granda, a long and narrow inlet of Isla Patida, a mere 20 miles east of La Paz. The weather man predicts some viscous north winds so we are tucked in nicely enjoying glorious blue temperate waters and a quiet………..there are only three other vessels here at the moment. We arrived yesterday and were soon joined by S/V Sea Turtle, with Jordan and Judy on board who invited us over for happy hour that turned into supper. We borrowed a movie from them and came home to popcorn and a movie. Today, the boys are waiting for the wind to subside so they can go catch supper. Our provisions are becoming rather scarce as we are nearing the end of our season here in the Baja. The coffee and propane are running on low so when that comes to nought we will return to the harbor and begin to prepare to "haul out". White Shell goes on the hard on April 15th.

The time has gone so quickly yet there is a sense of being a long way away. Over 1660 pictures in the albums and many many words on the blog yet so many still in our heads. There just does not seem to be enough time to write it all down as we carry on the daily chores and just "live aboard". We will have many stories for any of you that are interested in hearing them………………until then. Have a very blessed Holy Easter weekend. If you find some bunny rabbit eggs, save us a few!                       Lue and Claes

  1. So very cool, Bahia Amortajada is my favorite place too. On Easter we worshiped at our Church in Yakima, Westside Baptist. And then had a wonderful brunch @ my daughter's home with 6 of my 8 grandchildren and 2 of my kids and their spouses. On Saturday we had Nana's big egg hunt and we hula hooped, flew kites, kicked the soccer balls and played that famous game "Nana May I" which is their favorite. Prized were won by all and lots of baskets were filled with eggs and bunnies...All 8 grandkids loved it.

I am tuckered as we worked on the sails all day. They are now all nice and scrubbed, dried, folded and put away..............we are now bare poles.
