JOEY FINALLY FOUND SOME DIRT!!!!
Sunday afternoon we joined up with Tony and Bonito from S/V Mandayla, who introduced us to a great restaurant in downtown La Pas LA FONTANA. The local frequent it so you know it is good. The prices were excellent as was the fare. We highly recommend it! We look forward to their promise of coming to meet us at Kye Bay!!!!
Our ride to San Jose del Cabos was enjoyable and Joey was great! He enjoyed stretching in the desert when we made a pit stop mide way. The airport was great too and he was his usual charmer with all the people who stopped to visit him. He is a definite "Chick Magnet" says Claes!!!
The flight to Calgary was not one we would like to repeat anytime soon! The personnel on the plane insisted that Joey be totally encased in his bag which present a problem. Have you ever tried to put a cat in a bag??? This was suppose to be a travel bag and would have worked well if they would have allowed his head out of the bag. Needless to say we fought with him all the way and Claes has two very cut up hands to prove it. The bag was thrashed and left in a garbage can in Calgary. They have since black balled poor Joey who is now not allowed to travel via West Jet ever again. 9 We were very disappointed in the way they handled the situation just not their usual way!!)
In order to continue our flight home we had to replace the carrier and could not find a pet one so bought an ordinary duffel bag.........of course no vents or visibility! We marked our time-got through customs and on board and attempted to keep a low profile. Again the attendant insisted that he be inside the bag. After both Claes and I explaining what had transpired in the last four and half hours, our problem with the bag he asked why we had not put the cat in the pet section..........to which we responded we were told we could not! WRONG! So all of this could have been eliminated. Poor Joey! We did convince them that if they allowed his head out I promised he would not come out any further. So................I spent the next hour with my body bent over to assure that that was what happened.
MAJOR LESSON LEARNT!!!!!!

We have since got moved in, provisioned the kitchen, insured the van that Roz has provided for us and had a visit with Tanya and her crew............Annika loves her dress and Cole is excited about his Spanish colouring book I brought him.
Yesterday we scrambled gathering some warm close to watch the SNOW BIRDS do thier aerial practice and thought you might enjoy the new look we have adopted???? Today we woke to a beautiful sunny but blustery day on the beach. The fairly large buffalo waves are blowing in a north westerly direction and we are enjoying the water traffic that is constantly going by: the ferry, a few tug boats and the odd sailing vessel!!! The water is not quite as green-blue or as warm but it is truly beautiful! Thank You God for bringing us back safely and providing so many blessings!!!! As we sit here in our fleece, with a huge smile on our faces we continue tor pinch ourselves to remind us that this is not a dream--we really are at KYE BAY- one of our favourtie spots in the world! Check out the web site someday. http:/www.kyebay.com
