HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM CANADA
and what an incredible day it was!
Even though my Captain was grounded up in Wakeman Sound, eating turkey with his work mates we chatted via sateilite phone and shared many things that we are both thankful for. For Joey and I it was memorable to share the makings of a fine Canadian Turkey supper
with some of our freinds here at Kye Bay: Jane and Fred, of course are back from the Fire Tower in Alberta and very efficiently taking over my/our duties as Managers of this lovely resort for the winter season of 2011. My dear lady friends Lilian, autie Lilly to Joey and her very loveable and funny son Oliver made the day so enjoyable........complete with a walk after supper to seattle our stomachs. Rai, a Kye Bay alumni, blessed us with her incredible Spinach salade, smile and willingness to just jump in there and carve that BIG BIRD. Our Kye Bay neighbours, Glenda and Paul, just happened to be alone for this thankful day and quickly joined us--at the last minute.

For those of you who know Kye Bay you know that the units do not have the spacious abnility to house very many guests at one time...........so Oliver got the outside fire pit going and we set the picnic table up with fancy table clothes and had a tipical Kye Bay outdoor meal. What a great evening.

Today has brought a cloudy sky and the rain has stopped. My intent is to go out and enjoy the brisk sea air later to day. Until the rain breaks Joey is cuddled on the couch and I am working on "stuff". Until later, have a great day and may you and your family be thankful for many many things.
More pictures to follow on and in the Photo Album later today.
