After a bus ride from Copan, that started at 6 am this morning north to San Pedro to transfer and onward to the coast we found that the ferry had been cancelled due to the weather. Once again we were met by a helpfull cabbie, who took us around to find a suitable hotel for the night. We continue to find great places for very reasonable prices: nice big bed, A/C tv and wifi, hot showers and a pool with breakie in the morning for $32.00. We even have a fridge for the beer! Mind, you The Captain is already in bed after having a root canal done today!!!
The reception clerks wife is a dentist and she found us a dentist that could see Claes today!!! He has been suffering with a bad tooth ache for a few days. (Another one of those God things finding a dentist so quickly!!) He is tucked in bed while I write you all a little note to let you know that we are nearly at The Carribean side of the country. The landscape is beautiful and the bus ride today spectacular. It is so lush green, complete with different palms and larger foilage. We drove along the edge of a beautiful valley basically all the way here with many towns along the way. Miles of gardens, farms of coffee, bananas, pineapple and nurseries of exotic plants. Most of the town streets were filled with folks busy going to work etc and just carrying on with their lives. Funny that hey? The fact that the towns and roadsides are dirty with litter continues to bother us!!!!! they just dont seem to get it! Such a beautiful country --it is sad!
