THE CAPTAIN CAUGHT A BEAUTIFUL YELLOW TAIL TUNA !!!!

Weighed anchor yesterday morning, January 6th and that would be a Thursday --left  Chacala around 7 oclock and made our way towards Bahia Banderas (Bay of Flags) , the largest bay on the west coast of Mexico which has  about a  20 mile opening. Unfortunately, we had no wind so we motored all the way, which give us the opportunity to make water and top our tank up.  Again, it was a blessing at the end of the day to have a nice hot shower.

SAILING INTO AN NEW YEAR!

Weighed anchor at 4:30 and are underway towards Isla Isabella, 85 miles South east from here. Our location at present is:     23 degrees 7 minutes degrees North          106 degrees 23 minutes West The weather is very calm.  Small swell and calm with little wind.  We look forward to the sunrise and glorious day ahead of us.  Hopefully the wind will pickup so we can sail.  Right now we are motoring  at 5 knots and making water.  All is well..............I am drinking Ginger tea and the Captain is on his second coffee. Check us out on the map and have a little navigation study -with your kids or spouse!! Prayers are always welcome and much appreciate.     Próspero Felize y un ~ o Nuevo Ano!!!!! SWEET MARLIIN FROM THE SEA FOR SUPPER TONIGHT!!!!

Image
You know some times you have to be at the right place at the right time .  And I was today! Went in early for my dental appointment without the Captain ( he and Peidro finished adjusting the mosquito curtains.)   I strolled around town and just could not resist all the after-Christmas sales; I purchased some Mexican Jeans..............now these babies are a size 9 and pretty tight- that is the style here with lots of sparkle on them.   Plus I added a really cute little top and a pair of Mexican sandles--wait till you see these.  From the back they look like shoes and from the front-sandles.  Got to love them for  a whole 140 pesos, which is equivalent to about 12 bucks..............now I am styling.  For a total of $40.00  I am ready for New Years.   Ano Nuevo!!!! On my way home, met up with Marilyn and Jim and they took me to the Iguana tree.................and I had my first viewing of an Iguana...........enjoy the pictures. in ...

Woke up this Christmas morning to the smell of rich cafe de Mexico which we found along the Malacone the other day.  Power is precious but we  afforded a small amount  to run the bean grinder.   It has bean a long search but well worth it.
