Sweating Sailors Sitting in Playa Panama COSTA RICA

Arrived later this afternoon after a very warm crossing of Cape Santa Elena.   Will travel over to the next Bay at Coco and do our entry into the Country.  Then relax, provision and carry on towards Punteranas......where we will spend  time over Christmas.  Will write some more tomorrow when I have internet again.

SPENT SAILORS APPROACH THE Bahia San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua

December 4th, 2012 6:00 am we enter a natural bay which opens to the southwest.  This is our second stop in Nicaragua having entered at Port Corinto on Sunday morning. We sailed right past Golfo De Fonseca, the wind was fine and the weather window that was predicted continued to remain open so we just carried on to  Port Corinto which we found to be very friendly and accommodating with their  official formalities.  With Zarpie (the document that is required to enter and leave each country) in hand the Port Authority rep escorted us around the small town to acquire photo copies and access to the internet.    Checking  our weather was foremost in our minds as we want to leave the following morning, Monday.  Being Sunday most places were closed.........so off we went with William.  Jumped on a Bicicletta Taxi to the bookstore for the copies and a personal friends for the internet!  We offered him lunch and he took us to an Orient...

SLEPT LIKE TWO VERY CONTENT SAILORS

We are checked in and have confirmed that the weather is good right through the weenend.  Will spend the day making water, polishing the "diesel",  hopefully re provision with fresh things in the little town here.  Might even talk my self into doing some laundry..........I do have a good book that is calling me...............begining to  relax as you can see.  Still some chores that have to get done first though.   We run a clean Ship...........LOL  Had a great supper last night of filet minion and are reenerized after a few days of passage.  We were  out  of shape and needed to reconnect with our boat and all that goes with sailing.  Starting to feel good again.  LOL  Just like riding a bike LOL The sun is shining and we are getting accustomed to the breezed that kickup during the day here in this part of the Pacific....not too intense but does twirl us around our anchor.   It calms down in the after...

SAILORS SLOWLY SETTLING IN

Thanks to our lovely friend and landlord, Colette I and the folks from S/V Saucy Lady drove to San Salvador yesterday for provisions.  First on the list was to reactivate the computer........all went well with Clario, one of the companies  that provide the internet here in El Salvador.  Such great customer servise for us Gringos who still have very poor  Spanish.  It was so busy in the city I had forgotten!!!  Got home without any problems and now have good things to eat.  It was such a bonus to come home to a running fridge and The Captain.  He has been working so hard getting al these things working.  Lots of items on his list after leaving the boat for the past six months.  We are a good team!!!

November 01.12 Good morning and happy November.  Still raining out my front door here in #2 Cottage at Kye Bay Resort.........the most beautiful spot on the east coast of Vancouver Island.  www.kyebay.com The Captain is counting the "get ups" left in Boston Bar.   Joey is checking out the available couches as he prepares to serf for the winter. Lovely Jane and Faithful Fred are his Kye Bay Winter family but you that know Joey gotta know he makes the rounds.  More on that as the season progresses.  and I am working through  my list of things to get, buy, fix and pack in between the side affects of those darn Typhoid pills we are taking.  Tomorrow is the last day of the procedure. (four pills with a skipped day in between the taking.)  Usually get a shot but they did NOT have any so we went for the oral meds.  http://www.viha.ca/contact_us/     Here is the link for those of you who need more i...
