SAILORS SUNDAY OFF

After a very fun and tasty supper at Banditos last evening with our friends Jacquie and Don from S/V Little Christian we made our way back to the boat via our little "truck" the dingy.  The storm has abated so we were gently lulled to sleep.  The last few nights had been very exciting as there has been somewhat of a wind blowing as well as an abandoned cement boat doing a walk about the channel.  Seems here that the Navy and or Port Authorities are not concerned with such matters so it is up to each boat owner to keep an eye out.  Needless to say we had a few restless nights keeping an eye on this monster. (It was quite nice to sit in the wheel house and watch the big fall moon but that eventually got a little tiring around eleven oclock...... Yesterday a young man took possession of it and he is not the proud owner.  Strange but a relief.

Yesterday I ventured off to the Centro de La Paz by myself and figured out how to use the autobus.  Cost a whole 8 pesos............12 pesos equals one Canadian dollar.  It was very interesting as I of course made friends with people going and coming.  HAHHAH  They are all so friendly.  I made my way to the La Paz Plaza which is huge mall........reminded me of the Edmonton Mall.  It was very productive as Claes is really not a great shopper so I was able to just amble on and look at everything!!! My list of things I want is getting a few items taken off it............it takes a while to locate products but eventually we do.  LOL

This morning after a nice cup of coffee we were off to Church at Corner Stones and were totally taken by a young man by the name of Peter Gatto www.ranchoelcamino.org  Check this link and see what you think.  We hope to get out to the ranch before we leave.  He was a very vibrant and engaging speaker.........reminded me of you Ron.  If you want to hear his talk go to the church link that you will find under the tab of our favorite links.  After a Mexican brunch we walked the Maelcon and downtown Centro just enjoying the Mexican culture.............music, people, food and fun.  Came home with some fresh fish for supper and are now enjoying some tunes and a nice relaxing evening.  See you tomorrow.
