Another beautiful day in Santa Cruz

Check out the new album in our photo gallery just to the left of this post.............Claes and I went for a nice long walk this morning.  When we left it was a little foggy but eventually it cleared up. We did not have to go very far but had alot of different photo opportunities.  It takes us a long time cause I am forever stopping and clicking away.............so here you can benefit  from my exercise this morning.

Yesterday I was out scouting for some fish to buy  and a guy had just come in with his catch and he gave me two little cod---- free!!  We finally had a fish supper.  I will try to bring him some cookies when I bake next.  Word is that the catch is becoming more profitable. The commercial guys are getting ready for the crab season which starts in November.

Hope to go to downtown Santa Cruz tomorrow............wish you gals were here.  Claes is not a very good shopper.  Probably will be cheaper bringing him along.  HAHAHHA!

As we travel Panama   as in other  countries there are many many tourist spots  with "things"to buy and bring home  to you all.   Ahh! the decision are many  and can get rather difficult.   Sometimes the memorabilia is best bought with the person making the memory--if you know what I mean.  We do love to shop at least some of us. SAILORS SEEKING SECOND SIGHT OF PERLAS ISLAS

The last few months have certainly been filled with many enjoyable days and peaceful nights We arrived in Panama City in awe of the sight of such a huge skyline of massive buildings which is certainly impressive night or day.  Upon closer inspection it is just another huge city filled with business, malls and people....lots of people.  Some not so fortunate as the large areas of low income buildings is large and not safe to travel in.    Our time with Canadian friends, Roz and Dave was fantastic.   We were pleased that they enjoyed themselves so much and fell into "Sailing life"very well.  The White Shell lent herself to two more bodies on board and all was well. From what the pictures tell you we had a great time sailing to The Perlas Islands, exploring, swimming, fishing and just plain relaxing.  David did amazing things with the guitar and the fishing rod. LOL  It took us a few days to regroup after their departure...

MEMORIES……….are made of this!

  I woke up today with a touch of a sore throat; not sick enough to make a request for light duty but uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to do much. I forced myself out of the bunk. You know how it is-- if you sleep during the day --night comes sleepless! Not wanting to waste the day sniffing and drinking tea .. i do prefer coffee……I attempted to keep myself busy with my chores. My interest quickly waned and I found myself at my desk……I began sorting through the small cupboard that acts as our filing cabinet. Yes, reminding me of the past  boat rule: all items must have two purposes which now  applies to our land home……here in the Comox Valley.   As I thought  of past years piled high within these  files of book work and accounts for our lives i managed a smile and reached  into the back section of the  cabinet.     I knew there was one file that held no numbers;  this plain ivory colored manila folder secured wi...
