FIRST MATE UPDATEs THE BLOG

Good morning and a beautiful one it is.   The mornings  dampness and  chill are short lived as around 6:30 am  the sun arises to dry the wheel house up.  Shortly there after with  coffee  perking we are feeling fine.

SAILORS SECOND MONTH ABOARD BEGINS

Happy December all!  Whew,  how times passes when you are busy,eh??  You know someone told us we did not have an accent the other day --how funny is that!!  Here there are many Canadians, Australians and boats flying African flags... and of course a few Americans.  So there are alot of accents amongst the many of us who are working away at our Spanish lessons. ( Seems like I am sleeping in Spanish these days!!!  HAHAH) Check the other tabs at the top of this page; a few updates on all of the choices and lots of new pictures.  I will leave you with those little tips and encourage you to become a follower of our exciting journey and if you are one or two already PLEASE check in with us once in awhile leaving a comment  so that we know you are out there.  Your presence, interest and prayers are very much appreciated and required.  Have not heard from KING Joey lately so we are thinking he is muey comfortable on the couch.  Stay war...

SAILORS SUNDAY OFF

After a very fun and tasty supper at Banditos last evening with our friends Jacquie and Don from S/V Little Christian we made our way back to the boat via our little "truck" the dingy.  The storm has abated so we were gently lulled to sleep.  The last few nights had been very exciting as there has been somewhat of a wind blowing as well as an abandoned cement boat doing a walk about the channel.  Seems here that the Navy and or Port Authorities are not concerned with such matters so it is up to each boat owner to keep an eye out.  Needless to say we had a few restless nights keeping an eye on this monster. (It was quite nice to sit in the wheel house and watch the big fall moon but that eventually got a little tiring around eleven oclock...... Yesterday a young man took possession of it and he is not the proud owner.  Strange but a relief. Yesterday I ventured off to the Centro de La Paz by myself and figured out how to use the autobus.  Cost a whole 8 p...
