On to Port Angeles Friday
With Friday morning in front of us a few lesson already learnt we headed across Juan de Fuca Straight for Port Angeles; without incidence we sailed into the industrial port that reminded us of Powell River….the mill town we lived in for over 30 years. We tied up and proceeded to contact the customs officer. With very little concern the nice young man asked us a few questions sold us “decal” and Cruising permit and welcomed us to the U S OF A. We enjoyed a relaxing evening with the two Katz slowly venturing out on the dock to inspect more boats. After a nice supper and a glass of wine we went to our bed early. Bright and early Saturday morning Ron and Patricia arrived on the dock asking permission to come aboard! It was so great to see them as they had both been very instrumental in procuring many items for our voyage. Ron you are fantastic with your research abilities and contacts. Thanks Man!
