Underdog pee wee squad surprises city teams Powell River is on top of the BC baseball world following the Pee Wee A Mets’ victorious performance in Surrey. Provincial finals began on the last Thursday in July, when the Mets took on Burnaby. The team recorded a mercy win in the fifth inning when it led with a score of 11-0. Friday morning, the boys played Salmon Arm, losing a close contest 5-4. They came back in the afternoon with a 7-5 encounter with Aldergrove. A win over Surrey by a 12-5 margin earned the Mets play...
