The folks have forgotten in alot of ways but are remembering today the many people who lost thier lives for freedom.  USA is very patriotic that is certain..........loyal, brave and strong. Claes' day was filled with motor things.  I made bread and an apple crumble.  We had BBQ tonight  with a couple from Bellingham.  We met them in the last harbour we were at: Half Moon Bay.  They are heading south as well...........having left thier home in July travelling a similar route as us we had lot of stories to compare.  They are interesting to be sure.  Newly weds of a mere 10 years both are in their early 60's.  Don and Jacquie. I scored a Jeep from one of the workers here at the repair dock so Jacquie and I will venture out tomorrow to find a laundry mat and do some shopping.  There is an art and wine festival on Sunday up the road in Capriola...........so after church we will venture out and have a day of fun. I am including a few picture...

The deed is done.............a new motor is on its way and should arrive monday.  The Captain and I will strip the old one out, paint the engine room and install the water maker so that the fellas here can just plug in the new one.  Sounds easy doesn't it????  Pray that all goes smoothly. We are off on an adventure today: finding the Safeway store which will involve taking a couple of buses.  (Katie is missing in action since about 4am) Sure hope she is just hiding somewhere as she is very good at that. We had a great time at Half Moon Bay.................but felt it was time to move on.  There really was not much there.  So up early and away for a nice day of sailing ............sunny skies and a little wind. Arrived at a reasonable time last night and had a good nights sleep. September 8th. Here we are..............sitting at Aquairus Boat Works...........praying lots and weighing up our options.  The Captain had been contemplating the sounds he was hearing from the engin room.  We had a few nice guys here today with their clip boards and stethscopes anlysing the situation of our dear motor and they have all decided that we need a NEW MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!! So................the next few weeks will be spent pulling the old one out...painting the engine room.  I mean why not hey?  Then the new motor will get craned in and BOB IS YOUR UNCLE   as the saying goes. Nothing quite a few thousand dollarw wont fix. As the the saying goes.............
