HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010
wow!!!!! Did the year go by so quickly! Looking back we certainly have been blessed!!
For Claes and I the year has been very exciting as we began to really pull together all of our hopes and dreams to set sail on the WhiteShell. Right from the start God certainly instrumented opportunities and opened many, many doors to assure us that this was what we were suppose to do. Our house sold in four days, we were both given jobs to top up our travel account after a loss in the economic down turn, our family and friends continued to encourage us and give us their blessings to sail away!!! Some of these gifts included temporary housing, dinners, and much prayer. This picture to the right is us and our good buddy and potential fourth mate when she so chooses to visit us---Judy Collins!

As we got closer to departure day Claes was able to finalize many important projects. We both quickly settled into living on the boat in July and soon began to call it home. The weather was favourable for us to leave in August. The past four months has found us learning many new things, meeting new people and experiencing a new culture. And now the month of December, 2009 gave us two full moons. The first appeared December 2 and the second will appeared last night on New Year’s Eve.
The second is the moon of legends: current folklore calls it the ‘blue moon’. Through out this century, a ‘blue moon’ will appear only three times on New Year’s Eve. (Thank you sister Madelaine for providing me with all this information!!!) This is a picture of her and her great grand daughter and grand daughter.....she makes a beautiful grandma don't you think????
So, when thinking of your life, family and dreams for our world in the year ahead, do something that you would only do ‘once in a blue moon’. Make this one count!
Wishing you the very best in 2010
