HOPE YOU ARE STILL OUT THERE?????
I know we have all been pretty occupied with the Season and all that goes with it: family, friends and oh so much food and drink!!! With the Christmas Season nearly behind us we can get back to normal whatever that is????
You know some traditions celebrate well into January as no one is really certain when the exact birth date was, so to my Ukrainian friends and brother in law Bill -- Merry Christmas. (Could someone write back and tell us how to say/spell that in English??)
If you're like me I just dislike putting all the Christmas stuff away as I just love the season! Go figure hey? Well this year there was not a lot of 'smag' to put away..... for those of you who don't know what smag is a fellow/friend sailer of ours coined it. Ian from the S/V Salish Seas gives this definition: Smag is stuff you know that stuff that you collect-spend your money on but don't really need? You spend a lot of time looking for it, purchasing it and paying for it (in some cases) a lot of the times once you bring it home you spend a lot of time caring for it and find that it really was not what you wanted.............then some day you die and your kids chuck it..............yeah that is smag! (I googled it and it is actually the name of some European company)
Needless to say here on the S/V WhiteShell II we don't have a lot of smag............and we continue to disperse of what we have finding every day that we can live without it or don't need it. You know the rule right??? Everything on board must have a duel purpose.
Yesterday we spoke about change.............maybe this year is the year for you to take inventory on your smag??? Just a thought!
Not sure if any of you have taken notice but I have included pictures of those of you who either write to us or are spoken of on the blog................hope that you are okay with that? If not please let me know so I do not offend you. Up until now I have introduced you to many of my siblings and Claes and I's adult children and grandkids. Check our photo galley on the side bar for the latest grand kids snapshots. Oh how we love those guys and gals.
I truly do try to keep our daily posts not too long but it is difficult as I do love writing to you! So until later.........welcome to all of the new followers and thank you to all you guys that have been following--some of you from the start............please add your name and pic so that we can be blessed by knowing that you are out there!!!!
