What’s for breakfast?

Well breakfast burritos of course!! Those little tortillas that we have discovered are fantastic and very versatile. For now we will heat them up very quickly in a hot pan that has been lightly oiled.

The filling today will be scrambled eggs; some chopped up meat (sausage or left over beef or pork), chopped sautéed onion, celery, pepper if you have it and seasoned with cilantro, pepper, and fancy paprika seasoning that we got from Ryan and Sophie. Roll this up and serve with beans and homemade hash browns, or fried potatoes. Garnish with a little salsa and be energized after a good night's sleep.

Now this will and could be accompanied with that fresh brewed camp fire coffee that I have written about. (Claes and I usually have a glass of juice as fresh fruit is not readily available and when it is it is not so fresh—if you get my drift?) We have begun to search out canned fruit as we are very much craving fruit. Bananas are usually found and can be made into a nice loaf at the end of their freshness.

If we are sailing then the rest of the morning is broken up with small snakes of nuts, dried fruit and lot of water. (We usually run the motor first thing so that we can fill our water tank and also heat up the water so that we can enjoy a nice long shower.) Oh! Life is good…………..you have no idea how much we appreciate this! Do remember that we do not have showers everyday nor do we wash our hair every day!

Leftover work very well when we are underway as they are easy to utilize and to create a nice little lunch……………then by the time supper comes we are usually of late arrived at our destination.

Our routine is different if we are on the hook in some nice little anchor as we have more time and our kitchen is more stable as we are not on the move.

The food notes and  food ideas that I have come across, traded with friends, got off the internet or just plain created I hope are an enjoyment for you. Trying them out and let me know what you think --use the comment section of the blog or email me.......and all ideas are very much welcome. We love to hear from you!!!
