AWAY POWELL RIVER FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK

and my my my are we excited or what????  We get to meet Stella for the first time today!  A brand new little person she is; she is  the newest addition to our family.  This has got to be the greatest gift of all to Grand Parents!  Check the Picture Gallery today as I added an album  called "Claes Celebrating 60 Years:  and see lots of grand kids.

The past week has truly  been a bit of blur what with change of pace of a different  culture.



Claes and I were both quite surprised that it has taken us all week to begin to feel comfortable.  Maybe that is not the right word: but we certainly have felt  comfort in  the one thing that has been constant; the care and love of our friends and family. We have eight grandchildren and  meeting  Cole and Annikas first last monday has begun our return with smiles as  we have basked in their  expressions of love and comments of how happy they are to see us!  It does our heart good!

So off we go with camera and heart in hand.  We will talk to you next week.

    Hola amigos...we're back home now as well! "Re-entry" is very strange, isn't it?? Family comes first, of course, but let's try to catch up sometime in the near future to "tell lies" and plan for next cruising season!

As we travel Panama   as in other  countries there are many many tourist spots  with "things"to buy and bring home  to you all.   Ahh! the decision are many  and can get rather difficult.   Sometimes the memorabilia is best bought with the person making the memory--if you know what I mean.  We do love to shop at least some of us. SAILORS SEEKING SECOND SIGHT OF PERLAS ISLAS

The last few months have certainly been filled with many enjoyable days and peaceful nights We arrived in Panama City in awe of the sight of such a huge skyline of massive buildings which is certainly impressive night or day.  Upon closer inspection it is just another huge city filled with business, malls and people....lots of people.  Some not so fortunate as the large areas of low income buildings is large and not safe to travel in.    Our time with Canadian friends, Roz and Dave was fantastic.   We were pleased that they enjoyed themselves so much and fell into "Sailing life"very well.  The White Shell lent herself to two more bodies on board and all was well. From what the pictures tell you we had a great time sailing to The Perlas Islands, exploring, swimming, fishing and just plain relaxing.  David did amazing things with the guitar and the fishing rod. LOL  It took us a few days to regroup after their departure...

PICTURES ---ONE IS WORTH A MILLION WORDS

Brother Rob and Sister Irene have reported difficulties in viewing the recent pictures of our adventure.  Just checked out to see if all is well and this is what I found: On the right hand side of the blog page you will see a list of pages that are offered on the blog for YOUR viewing pleasure.  As you click on each one of those pages you will find different topics.  Looking for photos you must go to the page entitled  OUR STORY IN FOCUS.  Click on that page and you should be redirected to our Photo Albums that are all saved on our GOOGLE ACCOUNT.  I have personally gone over each album and set it as being a PUBLIC view so you should be able to view the most recent pictures.  They are saved chronologically.  You will see the album cover picture and when you click on it you will be given options to view it as a slide show.  PLEASE TRY IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND. I have constant Internet right now...........a little modem by Digic...
