Good Morning from La Paz!!!!!

Early morning get ups the past few days to work on the boat.  We have accomplished a lot of what The Captain had on his "to do list" and we will head out back to the hook out front of the marina  for the rest of the next week. What a mixed bag of emotions...............the time here in Mexico has gone very quickly and now we are making preparations to fly home.  Hard to believe!  No comes a fun time to sort things out and do some down sizing...........did we really need this the past 8 months..........no then out it goes.  Did I say it is very hot!!!  Up to 90 yesterday................ gotta get up early!  

Joey is doing very well.  He has been cautious but seems rather comfortable checking things out.  He made me happy when he choose to stay rather close by the first night.  Last night he ventured out up he dock to find a pretty black and white!!!!  Woke up this morning and he had lost his collar.  Not sure if he finally got it off or maybe just gave it his new girl friend!!!!  A Mexican sweet heart!!!  The saga goes on and we hope that he continues to be smart  as we  go to the next dock then to get him home safely.

Well gotta go.  Going to spend the afternoon  with my amiga Kristine -- gotta finish my shopping and get some fresh vegies.  Have a great one!  Lue

As we travel Panama   as in other  countries there are many many tourist spots  with "things"to buy and bring home  to you all.   Ahh! the decision are many  and can get rather difficult.   Sometimes the memorabilia is best bought with the person making the memory--if you know what I mean.  We do love to shop at least some of us. SAILORS SEEKING SECOND SIGHT OF PERLAS ISLAS

The last few months have certainly been filled with many enjoyable days and peaceful nights We arrived in Panama City in awe of the sight of such a huge skyline of massive buildings which is certainly impressive night or day.  Upon closer inspection it is just another huge city filled with business, malls and people....lots of people.  Some not so fortunate as the large areas of low income buildings is large and not safe to travel in.    Our time with Canadian friends, Roz and Dave was fantastic.   We were pleased that they enjoyed themselves so much and fell into "Sailing life"very well.  The White Shell lent herself to two more bodies on board and all was well. From what the pictures tell you we had a great time sailing to The Perlas Islands, exploring, swimming, fishing and just plain relaxing.  David did amazing things with the guitar and the fishing rod. LOL  It took us a few days to regroup after their departure...

MEMORIES……….are made of this!

  I woke up today with a touch of a sore throat; not sick enough to make a request for light duty but uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to do much. I forced myself out of the bunk. You know how it is-- if you sleep during the day --night comes sleepless! Not wanting to waste the day sniffing and drinking tea .. i do prefer coffee……I attempted to keep myself busy with my chores. My interest quickly waned and I found myself at my desk……I began sorting through the small cupboard that acts as our filing cabinet. Yes, reminding me of the past  boat rule: all items must have two purposes which now  applies to our land home……here in the Comox Valley.   As I thought  of past years piled high within these  files of book work and accounts for our lives i managed a smile and reached  into the back section of the  cabinet.     I knew there was one file that held no numbers;  this plain ivory colored manila folder secured wi...
