Rolling Stone magazine named "People Get Ready" the 24th greatest song of all time. It was included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll. "People Get Ready" has also been chosen as one of the Top 10 Best Songs Of All Time by a panel of 20 top industry songwriters and producers, including Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson and Hal David.

....little rain today which is good for the gardens.  We are not minding it -kinda nice to experience some winter type weather. Our local friends do not agree.

For you that were following my baking experiences the last eight months.  I am pleased to announce that I made bread today...........just a good old fashion "grandmas farm reciepe"  and it turned out magnificiently!!!! Beautifully risen , sweet and not heavy.  I was so pleased as many attempts on board did not work out and I could not decipher why.   It is very rewarding to know it was not me but perhaps the fact that Mexican flour has less gluten content.......... I found out .many gals add some to the flour.  Supper was interesting  -- I stuffed a squash with some sun dried tomatoes, garlic, onions, red pepper and chicken all sautéed in olive oil.  Sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and baked..............hmm  was good  with a side of salad with feta cheese.

Will have to say good night for now and let you know that Joey is sitting right here with me and rather put out that it is raining and he cant go prowl tonight.  His nose is healing nicely and he has already forgotten about his traumatic time on West Jet!  Sleep well my friends...........I will listening to the rain on the roof.

SAILORS SEEKING SECOND SIGHT OF PERLAS ISLAS

The last few months have certainly been filled with many enjoyable days and peaceful nights We arrived in Panama City in awe of the sight of such a huge skyline of massive buildings which is certainly impressive night or day.  Upon closer inspection it is just another huge city filled with business, malls and people....lots of people.  Some not so fortunate as the large areas of low income buildings is large and not safe to travel in.    Our time with Canadian friends, Roz and Dave was fantastic.   We were pleased that they enjoyed themselves so much and fell into "Sailing life"very well.  The White Shell lent herself to two more bodies on board and all was well. From what the pictures tell you we had a great time sailing to The Perlas Islands, exploring, swimming, fishing and just plain relaxing.  David did amazing things with the guitar and the fishing rod. LOL  It took us a few days to regroup after their departure...

PICTURES ---ONE IS WORTH A MILLION WORDS

Brother Rob and Sister Irene have reported difficulties in viewing the recent pictures of our adventure.  Just checked out to see if all is well and this is what I found: On the right hand side of the blog page you will see a list of pages that are offered on the blog for YOUR viewing pleasure.  As you click on each one of those pages you will find different topics.  Looking for photos you must go to the page entitled  OUR STORY IN FOCUS.  Click on that page and you should be redirected to our Photo Albums that are all saved on our GOOGLE ACCOUNT.  I have personally gone over each album and set it as being a PUBLIC view so you should be able to view the most recent pictures.  They are saved chronologically.  You will see the album cover picture and when you click on it you will be given options to view it as a slide show.  PLEASE TRY IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND. I have constant Internet right now...........a little modem by Digic...
