MID MAY MORNING AT KYE BAY.............absolutely glorious!

After a full week of work I woke to the familiar sound of the eagles chirping away in their roost, high at the top of the fir trees just behind the resort.  Their chatter is ominous as it warns the little critters of their presence.  With Joey safely tucked into the duvet cover I drifted  back a sleep.
Having gone to bed around midnight last night--which is very late for me I leisurely stayed in bed till eight. (I watched a movie called

PS. I Love You  with Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler Lisa Kudrow, Harry Connick. Jr. Gina Gershon Jeffery Dean Morgan and Kathy Bates. Very cute, sweet movies, very touching and truly watchable. Well done!

Claes left for Powell River on the last ferry last night.  The cabin at Savary is calling and he and Rob, his younger  brother will spend the weekend doing some chores.  It is a beautifully weekend and I am sure they will have a great time reconnecting. and telling stories of their brother Per.  It seems time just goes by so quickly as it has  been a year March that Per passed away.

Sitting at my table with my blog page open in front of me I look out on to the Straight of Georgia and see that the Powell River ferry makes yet another round trip.  The tide is out so early  beach "bums" are out walking--their dogs their selves and their family.  The wind is light and coming from the north and with the sun shinning it is a very nice morning.

My boss lady/friend Roz is spending the week with us.  That is always a fun time as she and I do so  love Kye Bay and always share great ideas for the resort.  Some are grand and dreamable others are do-able and get done!  HAHAH!  This week we will concentrate on the gardens and flower pots.

Life is good at The Bay.  Working hard already but enjoying it.  Sore muscles feel good and the excitement mounts as we get closer to June 1st when we take over the reigns of management.

So then this is the post for today.  I trust that all that are following us continue to follow and for those of you who really are just interest in the sailing...............hang in there.  October will come quickly and the crew of the WhiteShell II will be off into the sunset again.

Until then.....................enjoy the stories from the beautiful Comox Valley and our lives here.

Lue Claes and The great yellow hunter Joey Kat.
