That my best friend and I can do anything, or nothing, and have the best time....
August 31 is the beginning of the thirty fourth year of our relationship!!! We officially got married on that date & include in our yearly celebration "our meeting" in February-- seven years prior to that. That is when we first met and fell madly in love!!! You bet the stars were brilliant and the fire works went off!!! The lights went on in our hearts!!!
I will begin my celebration here on the blog with some comparisons of the happy couple: Claes and Lue. These have been noted over the last few years-- did I say 34??
I will start with me as I know myself better..........Amongst many attributes I live in that playful right side of the brain that has been known to suggest it might be fun to just go ahead and not check for a good route to where I am going. You know just take a risk and go with the idea.............adapting it as I go. A lot like my cooking!!!! HAHAA!!!! It works for me and I have created some pretty magnificent meals if I do say so myself. I merely see my goal and find ways to achieve it even if they are not conventional or paved routes.
Yes, my mind leaps and bounds in lateral jumps while Claes thinks in sequential steps, each of which is logically following the next. I have no problem admitting that sometimes things go wrong at some stage in order to achieve a right solution. I know this drives Claes crazy!

A perfect case in point would be the lighting system we have in our front yard that I initially put up one weekend when he was away. (that was when we first got to Kye Bay way back in 2005.
- Did I consider that the packages of lights I bought were left over from Christmas, and that the reason they were on sale was they blinked?
- Did I have a plan for how I was going get power to all these lights in the most efficient manner?
No. Thoughts like this do not usually have a place to reside in my brain. I had a goal, and, by golly I am going to achieve it one way or another. And I did..... the lights all worked, and did I add that they all blinked?

Yes, it is an electrical nightmare, especially when something goes wrong with one of the lines like it did yesterday, and Claes had to somehow figure out how to locate and solve the problem. Lets follow the cord to the other end; maybe it has come unplugged, I suggest. Hmm yes Claes says, " but which cord, and how can I follow it when sections of it are buried under dirt and leaves, and there are two lines going in and three coming out? " GRRRRRR!
Maybe you need to think about your partner today and give her or him freedom to be them?? Lue, always Claes' bride!!!!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Lue & Claes - you are an exception "team" - on the water and off - and we're very pleased to have met up with you - almost a year ago in San Diego. All the best and we do hope we'll see you soon, before we all head south again.
