FRENCH BAKER DELIVERS CROUISANTS TO OUR BOAT!!!!
We have been anchored in the Lagoon at Barra de Navidad for a few days and have been totally enjoying our exploring. (The depth is only about 8-10 feet so very shallow, mostly mud so okay holding. I little tricky coming in the other day but lots of assistance so we were okay.)
Traveled by bus to Malaque, a little town between La Manzanillia and Barra. Not as nice, rather desolate as we approached it...........filled me with sadness to see such poverty. So many places for sale and or for rent. The town itself was a tipico Mexican town..............lots of shops selling the same things. Dont know how they all make a living ??? Anyways, we returned to Barra and eat out at a little kiosk and had Hamburgesa with Papas!!!!! Hmm ketchup too, though it is different then our Canadian product we appreciated it. We try not to compare but to enjoy the differences. You know, "While in Rome do as the Romans" right?
The water taxi service is excellent and has saved us worry about our dingy as folks say there is some motors going missing. Last night we joined S/V Kasa and Katie Hill for some live music at "Pipper for Lovers", then Esadoras for some Mexican stew.......... Molechejetta-- which was presented in a lava bowl....kept it extremely hot. It was excellent.
Today is off to town to the pharmacia to get some meds for Claes ear. We ventured off toe THE GRAND HOTEL yesterday to talk with a doctor. This is suppose to be the number #1 hotel in Mexico.......hope yo enjoy the pictures. It is huge and we nearly got lost in it. Finally found the lobby and were escorted to the medical facility to find Dr Gautsay, a very young man that we had met on the water taxi the night before. Unknowingly,(that he was a doctor) we discussed how frio he was and how frio it is in Canada!!!
Hopefully Claes ear ache will improve and he will be able to get back to swimming soon.
We are looking forward to Roz and Angies arrival today! (now it is Monday and they have arrived!!!)
Until later, then take care and have a great day. Love and kisses to our little princesses, Stella and Annika and a high five to all the boys............Angus, Cole and the big guys..........Jacob, Mat, Bradon, and Brody.........hope the exams went well guys.
