The Story of guy and gal!

No matter where you are there is just something exciting about Friday night!  Perhaps a kick back from my youth and or the days of work weeks but  my mind and soul love this particular day/night of the week.  I even got a hair cut today.........it is still long but not so wild.  Did a little more provisioning and even bought flour so I will attempt to continue to keep The Captain happy and do some baking.  Bought a package of large Tortillas for  $3.49. I have discovered that as long as I have the time I enjoy baking.  DO NOT like to rush though..and that goes for everything. Coming back to the fast lane of city living and Canada has taken its toll on us.  We both seem very tired which is strange after all the resting that we have had the last eight  months.   I went driving in the van today and felt rather out of place for a few miles.  We continue to be blessed here at Kye Bay and are slowly settling in.  I am battling...

and he hasn't stopped for long to rest!  He was great the four days we were preparing the boat at Singular, coming home each morning after a night of prowling.  We continue to be amazed at how he manges to return to the boat!!!!  Poor guy he had to sleep in the rental car Sunday night as mom was afraid he would miss the departure time 6:30 am Monday!

We left the anchorage in La Paz at 8:30 am yesterday with Tony from S/V Mandalay  piloting us in his dingy.  We arrived shortly after 10 and waited til the guys were ready to haul us out.  I took alot of pictures so you can see the sequense of that.  It was pretty awesome as we got to ride in the boat -wow what a rush!!!!

Got this email tonight from Tanya in Courtenay and wanted to share our JOY!!!!    She says:  "Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you once again for all your generous donations.  The MS Walk was so much fun and we had great weather for it.  Cole was REALLY into the whole thing, especially the warm up that my fitness instructor did at the beginning to one of his favorite songs, Boom, Boom, Pow.  Cole pretty much cleared a ten foot radius with his over-zealous jumping jacks and left everyone in stiches.  Mom joined me with Annika so it was nice to add two more to our team of 17.  We managed to raise $345 in total, $35 of which Cole did on his own through giving out Grandma's brownies at the school.  Our team in total raised over $3000 and the walk brought in over $31,000 to this great cause so thanks for being part of our special day. Brrrrrrr!!!!!!  Went down to 59 degrees  in the night but went up to 85 today with Courmwels blowing gently and  clear skies.  Perfect weather for what we have to do the next few days.  The Captain is amazing and has pretty much got The White Shell all ready to be put on the hard for the next six months.  Never realized but there is a lot to do to insure that your vessel is hurricane safe as well as protected from extreme heat and rodents and bugs.
