Mexico Celebrating Revoluecion Day

Image
Just a quick little hello to check in and let you all know that we are well and all is going pretty well. Today we are heading in to watch the parade so hopefully will have some pictures later today. Turn your Skype on in the morning and or in the evening if you want to chat with us.  We have internet but it does work when it chooses.  HAHAH   just like everything else here in this lovely part of Gods' world. (We are not complaining as we heard that there is SNOW  in our home land.)  Sorry about that. Talk to you later. Lue and Claes

SAILORS LOVE THE WATER

Image
and these two are floating and sitting pretty in  Marina Singlar putting the final touches on our boat. Worked hard today and got the sails on and up and washed the exterior decks.  The heat does impede the progress but we stopped mid day and went to Walmart..............yep.  Finished our provisioning and returned the rental car.  We are both feeling tired at the end of the day and feeling muscles we forgot we had.  Life in Canada was good this past summer but we did lose some muscle mass sitting around.  Wont be long before we are in shape again and sailing in The Sea--Cortez that is. We do eat differently here as well.  The neighbour brought over some fresh, just made corn tortillas tonight and Claes stopped at a side walk stand and brought some fresh vegies home.  Hmmm good.

SAILORS MORNING TO YOU!!!!

Kinda funny saying that as we are still on "the hard"  cement that is.  Yesterday was a very hot day but productive.  Now we have clean clothes that are all organized and tucked away.  Oops........I guess The Captain was right, I did bring a lot of stuff.  Now the exercise will be to sift and sort again to see what we really require and filter a few items out the door. There is a Swap meet next week and also the Club Cruiserio and our little church are working towards Christmas.  There is a meeting for volunteers on Tuesday so I will venture forth to see what help I can be. I did click on the web site last night and read all about the Project for kids.  I am rather pumped and will keep you posted.  If you are interested here is the link: http://careforkidslapaz.com/Index.html Must get ready for church and then back to work...................Captain has to install the ground plate today and begin installing our beautiful new SSB radio...........

SAILING AFFORDS MANY GIFTS

Having said that we would like to point you to the tabs at the top of the page where you will find a number of choices for your information and enjoyment.  Just click on them and see what we are up to.  Hoping that you are all back on board with us as we begin our second season living aboard our beautiful 37 foot ketch. THE WHITE SHELL II

ON THE HARD AT MARINA SINGULAR

It has been a full few weeks............from the fast pace of Phoenix/ Mesa Arizona and a whirl wind of dinners, tours and walking..............we arrived in Cabos San Lucas to temperatures in the high 80s with water temp of 80.  A nice little breeze in the morning and late evening to keep us nice and cool while we sleep and chore time.  We are ending that around 12ish as it is too hot.  Not cooking alot as the galley is in a bit of an up roar besides needing a good clean.

Phonix Sky Harbour Airport

Beautiful day with wall to wall sunshine............just what you wanted to hear hye???  ere at Gate 4 we have cleared all requirementws and are on our way to Mexico.  Likely stay in Todos Santos tonight and drive to La Paz tomorrow morning.  Think we will rent a car for the week as we get our chores done in comfort.  The word is that it is getting pretty hot in The Baja. Thank you to all of you who were part of our leave taking, and the last week of a mini holiday.  You are all special to us and so gracious with your hospitality.  (Captain and I both need to go on a diet after the five days in Mesa!!)  To Update you all: My back is nearly healed. That was a long and painful haul.  Captain is looking pretty cool in his new Columbia shirt we found at Bass Shopping Centre..............you should see the pictures???  I will download them soon and present the 200 photos we took since we left.  Oh and we bought a new Panas...
