The Story of guy and gal!

Season Seven begins with The Captain and I flying into Panama City Panama SA  Novrmber 5/15. After a red eye flight Vancouver Toronto Panama we treat ourselves to a lovely sleepover in The  Amadora Ocean View Suites before heading by Ferry over to Tobaga Isla where our S/V Whiteshell II has been moored the past eight months. (For those who are wondering what happened to season six?????  Due to the lack of internet speed our adventure was documented  via Face Book for the most part.  Last season found us travlling for a week to Ecuador  from Panama arriving in the  estuary  at Bahia de Caraques. Our stay was short but we managed exploring Columbia for three weeks by bus and returning to Canada for our summer.  In early December back to Ecuador with a quick road trip of the interior of the country we departed to Panama.  The trip was memorable!!!!!! Friday is always a very welcomed day eh?   Today was no different and brought The Captain to The Campbell River Harbour back from camp up Toba Inlet.  A few more days of pulling all the loose ends together and we will be on route to fly out of Vancouver International December  04/15.  A day in Quito and on to the  coast.  Checked the weather net work and the Ecuador temperatures.   78 degrees with  89% humidity some cloud and sun.   Hmmm now I am beginning to remember the call of the travels!!!! 

The last official weekend of summer is upon us as The Captain and I celebrate thirty seven years of marriage commitment and love!   Many words can be penned to discribe our life together embellished with feelings of warmth and friendship but above all the experience of Joy unites us as one!

 Mid July and we are realizing being back home for two and half months! Mornings like this our front deck offers us quite coffee time listening to the birds chirp their greetings and far in the  distance we can hear  traffic noises to remind us that yes though in the rural area of Oyster River city life is but ten minutes away.  Perfectly perfect! The last few months have been full with Claes going back to work  rather quickly and I digging in the yard/garden both of us have settled in nicely.  Thinking we were comfy for the season we were beginning to enjoy a more relaxed pace... then we traded the RV in last week and now have lovely 2009 Montana Fifth Wheel made by Keystone Mfg.  With three more feet of length and four slides high ceilings we have a sence of areal house!  Loving it loving it!  Probably will build a more protective roof over it and add on to the decking outside.   Spring was lovely and June brought in summer and now i...

Putting the mooring grounds to the test today 15 knots of wind through the collection of boats let's us see how WhiteShell will fare while we are gone to Canada for the next six months.  The pace of packing has been slow and steady putting us ahead of our deadline with  time for leisure as well ... The best way to do it right?  Everything is so nice and clean lol.  We took tons of pictures yesterday with the vision of an album dedicated to our floating home,   Nearly ten years of enjoyment she has given us and in return we have made her  rather pretty and very efficient on the seas.  Her foot print on the environment is very limited but her impression on our hearts is huge!!!! At the start of all of this a wise man said to me:  first you must trust God, then Your Captain then your vessell then yourself!   I have found that to be true and find  myself the only part of that list to be lacking. Not  to say this in a negative sens...

With only a week before we return to our Canadian "land" home our list of chores is short.  The Captain diligently worked away at the labour that now after five seasons has become familiar. We both agree that though a lot of work to put The WhiteShell to bed every six months and then revive her again upon our return this exercise serves as as system to check and recheck all her working parts.   ( it is what is called for at this time of our life and keeps us young -- well busy anyways) lol Our choice of Moorage this spring has been good in many ways; Bahia de Caraquez Ecuador affords us the safety of a quite bay with 24 hour security and  calm South American dry season.  From what "The Fellas"Ariosto's;  a young man who will oversee the boat and Carlos who will keep her clean the biggest concern will be dust.  Soon the rains will end ..
