Image
It is so good to feel and see the sunshine this morning! Yesterday was a great time with the gals as we went on the hunt for a "Kat" carrier for Joey. Yes,  for the plane  going home  we have booked our flight to return to the beautiful Comox Valley.  Looks like we are returning April 19th.......time is going very quickly. This is a bitter sweet time as we do love our life here and all our amazing fellow sailors.  Today, we are going to confirm our storage spot for the summer.  There is alot involved here as we must consider storms, extreme heat and security.  We have met a very nice couple on S/V Two Can Play who are Americans. They  live here  and have a business  as boat surveyors and are assisting us. No pressure now Captain but we still have the north part of the Gulf of California to explore.  We are hoping to sail out of here this weekend and will begin to work our way up then back here for April. Friends who have left to sail on to the mainland and southerly destinations and beyond………..we have all been great comrades and had a grand time together learning and listening to the sea! We will miss you for now and look forward to meeting again.   As we part know that  we pray that .....   ….. the waves rise gently to meet you, that the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, And rains fall soft upon your decks. And until we meet again, May God hold you all in the palm of His hand.   Your sailing friends on                    S/V WhiteShell II, Captain Claes, First Mate, Lue and Joey the Sailor Kat

Northern Winter Storms felt down here too.

We are in the southern part of the Baja and are seeing cloudy days and very cool nights --even saw some lightening last night during supper.  We are very much aware that to the north the torrential rain has caused havoc with the Mexican Highway #1.  This link will give you some insight. http://www.bajainsider.com/driving-baja/baja-road-report.htm Lue  your inside reporter in The Baja CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVE FOR MORE POSTS.
