TOO HOT IN THE BUSH!

Image
Yes, Claes is home for the last week as the weather is very hot and consequently no work in the bush.  He is rather content to rest and help me around here.  Besides he needs some time off to research the Boat things we are saving for.  HAHAHHA!  Speaking of which we travelled to Campbell to get the scoop on a SSB radio (Single Side Band) and a Automatic Tiller Pilot.........both items we need for the next leg of our journey.  If any of you have any input on that it is welcomed. Sounds like we are planning to return to the WHITESHELL II in the beginning of November.  Will fine tune that as I check to see what flights are available.  It has been rather exciting to meet with our Sailing buddies and realize that it was not a dream.............the eight months were real!!!!!  We are hoping that more of you can join us in a Sailors Reunion here at Kye Bay the week of September 8th??????  Let us know...............until later we will get back t...

This picture is taken from above our spot...............pretty cool hey?  We have had an incredible week two  and now into week three.  Such fun!  Roz was here for a few days.  That is a treat as she seldom has the opportunity to enjoy the resort.  Her grandchildren were super and her friend Dave a delight.  He played the guitar and sang for us so I was in my element! .

WEEK TWO # 2 KYE BAY EXPERIENCE

Image
The week of children , as we have gotten to know it has begun.  They have all grown so much since I last saw them.  It has been a year.  I dropped in before we set sail last year to much excitement and such a warm reception!  This year I have them- You in the flesh!  Pretty exciting as you came family by family around that corner, eyes wide in anticipation of the sun, beach and Joey of course.  Our usually pancake breakfast Sunday morning  was a hit but with but one glitch --the famous Kye Bay Pancake Guy was amiss.  No worries, Murray from #7 stepped in gallantly and assisted me.  Though we missed Claes we did manage......I dont think the coffee was quite right but all went away "fed up"!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!! eh????

WEEK # 1 SUMMER 2010 at BEATUIFUL KYE BAY RESORT

Image
My my what a week we have had so far.  After  weeks of preparation the team pulled it off and we welcomed the two families that make up our first week of summer 2010.  Yes, two families one that has been coming to relax at Kye Bay for the past 15 years and the other a returning family--this time the kids are bringing their kids!  That is how it goes here at the little resort on Kye Bay. The weather has been rather variable but nothing too drastic to complain about.  Besides we are tough on the west coast.  Hahahhah!!  Our pancake breakfast on Sunday morning was a hit and the sun shone most of the day and has been getting warmer everyday.  (Today it was a little chilly though) Tuesday saw us have our first ever Pizza Bake Off and it was a very big success thanks to the dough made by our neighbour Anthony, the quests who partook and Roz who offered the prizes!   Never mind the tasty meal we all had. Check out the pictures in The Gall...
