SPANISH CLASSES SWIMMING & SOCIALIZING!!!!!!

Image
Phew!  It is a full time job this cruising life!   The language  lessons are great -- a little overwhelming at times then all of sudden it begins to make sense.  Claudia our Maestra is very kind and patient!  The Class is small and fun so all in all we are learning little by little.  My hope is to find a Spanish family when we get home and continue to practice as the goal is to be proficient when we arrive in Costa Rica next season. ( The fall of 2011)  That is still the plan.......we are not very far away now.......about 275 miles.  El Salvador is not a large country but there is alot to see here so we have decided to go on a little tour this week...............up to one of the volcanoes and check out a coffee plantation............a little artisian shopping and home again.  When we return in the fall we will explore Guatamala and En Salvador.............. Well must go for my swim...............and do some more of that Social stuff......

It is pretty darn hot down here!  Dont mean to aggravate those of you who are either in snow or rain but darn-- it gets warm close to the equator!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Been over a week that we have been in El Salvador and we can tell you that it is a very beautiful country. The Captain decided we needed a holiday so booked us into the Marina so we have been playing tourist all week.  Now picture that: early morning Spanish class,  swimming in the pool to do a few laps, showers on demand and Happy Hour complete with drink and appy specials!  Pretty fancy living and all very reasonable. (I think our tab for a week was around $200.  including our moorage and internet.)  Yesterday, we moved off the dock and are now anchored right out front with about thirty other boats.  We still have access to the pool and all the amenities aall part of the membership of the Cruisers Club for $14 USD.       We have not explored very much yet bu...

The amazing creativity of  The Creator was in full array this early morning as we approached  Puerto Madero, Mexico our last port of call.  Forty three hours of motor sailing -----yeah!!!!  We did it! Today we are being visited by The Mexican Navy and again the day we leave which we think will be monday.  We need to visit the Port Captain as well as the Immigration office and get our papers stamped for leaving the country.  It has been an amazing two years in this beautiful country filled with very friendly people.  No hassles are fears!!!  We are blessed.
