BAY FEST IN LA PAZ

It all began for us with a live demo of MOB ...............man overboard drill aboard a beautiful 40 foot sailboat owned and captain by Patsy.  She was very gracious to host the drill put on by two certified sailing teachers.  Both Claes and I learned a lot and have a list of things that we need to prepare for our next sailing season, which will likely begin in October.  After a nice cold lemonade we returned to our boat and are just relaxing and waiting for the temperature to drop a little before we cook supper.  It is certainly getting hot! Tomorrow will be filled with more workshops and a dinner and dance.............all a great wind up for our last week here in the Baja.  I will take some more pictures and let you come along for the date. Have a great night and talk to you tomorrow!            Lue and Claes and Joey soaking up the Mexican Sunshine

Early morning get ups the past few days to work on the boat.  We have accomplished a lot of what The Captain had on his "to do list" and we will head out back to the hook out front of the marina  for the rest of the next week. What a mixed bag of emotions...............the time here in Mexico has gone very quickly and now we are making preparations to fly home.  Hard to believe!  No comes a fun time to sort things out and do some down sizing...........did we really need this the past 8 months..........no then out it goes.  Did I say it is very hot!!!  Up to 90 yesterday................ gotta get up early!   Joey is doing very well.  He has been cautious but seems rather comfortable checking things out.  He made me happy when he choose to stay rather close by the first night.  Last night he ventured out up he dock to find a pretty black and white!!!!  Woke up this morning and he had lost his collar.  Not sure if he finall...

PHEW!!!!!  WE  WERE EXHAUSTED  last NIGHT! Got up bright and early and moved into the La Paz Marina to begin our washing and stowing away the boat.  We have all three sails cleaned, dried and put into their bags for storage. We are bare poles now!

APRIL AIN’T NO FOOL!

A new month and a new reason to be joyful! Yes, Easter the commemorative time in the Christian world that validates the entire theology of our faith: Good Friday and all it's passion, Holy Saturday filled with disappointment and hopelessness, then Resurrection Sunday, brilliant with the Glory and Promise fulfilled. He has risen.........He has risen in deed!  Halleluiah!!!!!!   We  anchored in Ensenda Granda, a long and narrow inlet of Isla Patida, a mere 20 miles east of La Paz. The weather man predicts some viscous north winds so we are tucked in nicely enjoying glorious blue temperate waters and a quiet…

On Our Way We Stopped at San Joses’ Isla

I do think that this has been one of our most favourite spots!!!! Spending a few days at Bahia Amorajada, on the southwestern tip of Isla San Jose facing the San Jose Channel and the village of San Evaristo we truly felt we were on a tropical journey. The water was a magnificent tropical green color, the sand so white and the sky so blue. Plain and simple it was beautiful and yes, getting very warm 90 today!

The Plain truth of it………..

By Jodi Picoult Plain Truth is the last book I have read. (Thought I would give you a more detail report on the books we are reading rather than just a list.)
